GOLF MATCH RESULTS BEST CARDS MEDAL HANDICAP. (“Times-Age” Special.) The following were the results of the games played in the match between Featherston and Martinborough and which resulted in a win for Martinborough by 4 games to 2, with 2 games halved: — “A” team at Martinborough (Martinborough players mentioned first in each case): —Harvey and W. Martin beat Rowles and Allen, S. Martin and Pike beat Wilson and O’Neil, Baker and McConnell lost to Fountain and Jeffery, Moore and ftankine and Bloxam and Lang all square. “B” team at Featherston. Evans and Sievers beat McAllum and McCarty, Arthur and A. Martin and Card and Hoby all square, Simpson and Flynn lost to Carlyon and Davis, Lawrence and Caseley beat Lawson and Lovegrove. The best cards handed in in connection with a medal handicap played were: —A. F. Harding, score 94, handicap 23, total 71; F. P. Duffy, 96, 25, 71; H. L. Griffiths, 87, 15, 72. Personal - On Sunday afternoon relatives and friends of Mrs C. Hibberd assembled at her residence in Oxford Street to congratulate her on attaining her 75th birthday. A cake, laden with the many candles, was cut by Mrs Hibberd, who received the good wishes of those present. An enjoyable time was spent in music and the recounting of early experiences by Mrs Hibberd in connection with her residence of 52 years in the department.
