WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

MOUNT BRUCE MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Mount Bruce Women’s Institute meeting took the form of a Birthday Party. Visitors were present from a number of the neighbouring Institutes, also from the Townswomen’s Guild. . Guild. Items were contributed by Miss West and Mrs McLachlan, also a short play, “A Storm in a Teacup,” was presented by Mrs H. West, Miss M. West and Miss Joan Allington and much enjoyed. The birthday cake, which was donated by Mrs C. L. Welch, was iced by Mrs Welch and Miss O. Campbell. A number of competitions were provided during the afternoon for the entertainment of the visitors. The singing of the National Anthem brought an enjoyable gathering to a close.
