CENTRAL SCHOOL

SUCCESSFUL OLD TIME DANCE. Another of the popular Old Time dances under the control of the Central School Parents’ Association, was held in the Central School on Saturday evening. The increase in attend---#•11,co easily broke all records for dances held at the school. It was estimated that over one hundred and fifty couples graced the floor and special efforts, were called for from the committee, which successfully responded to the situation. The Assembly Hall, though taxed almost to capacity, provided ample space for dancers and Mr W. R. Nicol as M.C. ably controlled the evening's proceedings. Music was supplied by members of Barnes Rhythm Boys, extras being played by Messrs Coddington. Parsons and Mason. The Monte Carlo was won by Mr and Mrs Bell. The evening terminated with the singing of "Auld Lang Syne" and "God Save the King." The next of these popular dances will be held on Saturday. July 1.
