Mathieu (France) and Mlle. Jedrzejowska (Poland) defeated Miss A. Florian and Miss Kovac (Jugoslavia), 7/5, 7/5. In the combined doubles final Cooke and Mrs S. Fabyan (U.S.A.) defeated Kukuljeyic (Yugoslavia) and Madame Mathieu (France), 4/6, 6/1, 7/5. AUSTRALIAN TEAM. PLAYERS IN FINE SHAPE. LOS ANGELES, June 18. The Australian Davis Cup team spent yesterday watching the National Collegiate Athletic Association track finals. They are scheduled to participate today in a fair strenuous exhibition at the Westside Tennis Club, where many of the cinema stars play. The manager, Mr Harry Hopman. said the party was in fine shape. He has completely recovered from the cold which had kept him in his hotel.
