COLONIAL POLICY
PROPOSALS IN BRITAIN. CREATION OF COMMITTEE EXPECTED. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, June 17. An early Government announcement is expected by the Press on the results of the comprehensive examination by the Colonial Secretary, Mr Malcolm Macdonald, of Britain’s colonial policy machinery. The "Daily Telegraph” expects that a decision will be taken to set up a colonial committee on the lines of the Estimates Committee of the House of Commons. It is believed, adds the “Telegraph.” that a responsible committee with which immediate contact could be made by anybody in the colonies who wished to have a particular matter brought to the notice of Parliament, would be acceptable to the colonists in all parts of the Empire.
