ACCUSED ADMITS GUILT. REMANDED TO PAHIATUA. Charged with the. theft of a rug valued at £1 19s, the property of L’.' McAvoy, Masterton, on June 16, and with having failed to comply with the terms of his release on probation at Pahiatua, a farmhand named Lawrence Clifford Benton, aged 20. appeared in the Masterton S.M. Court before Messrs L. J. Taylor and A. D. Low, J.’sP. today. Benton pleaded guilty and was remanded to appear before the Magistrate at Pahiatua on June 23.
