ST. ANDREW SOCIETY

VISIT OF WELLINGTON PARTY. At the regular monthly meeting of the council of the Saint Andrew Society, held last evening, final arrangements were made for the gathering to be held on July 1, when the Wellington Caledonian Society and. band will be guests. It is expected that the Wellington party will be 40 or 50 strong. They will on arrival be entertained at tea by the Saint Andrew Society. . . It was decided to hold the gathering in the Municipal Hall, and to make it open to the public. The charges for admission for non-members will be: Men, 3s; ladies, 2s; juveniles (under 16), Is. Financial members will be admitted at ordinary members' rates, on production of membership card for the current season.. It was decided to arrange no concert programme for the gathering, though it is expected that items will be presented by the visiting band. The evening will therefore be devoted to dancing.
