It was resolved to defer consideration of an appointment until the next meeting. A new cleft palate case was reported, it being stated that medical attention would probably be necessary. It was decided to assist by obtaining a specialist’s report. Authority was given to purchase a pair of boots and a pair of shoes for two crippled children. It was reported that six bed desks supplied for the crippled children at the Masterton Public Hospital had been received and were proving very useful. Payments totalling over £l5 for invalid chair, bed desks, school fees, clothing and materials for handicrafts were authorised.
