FEILDING SALE. PRICE ADVANCE MAINTAINED. FEILDING, June 16. Last week's advances in the prices of fat and store sheep were maintained at the stock sale held in Feilding today. There was a fair yarding of dairy cattle, a small yarding of fat cattle, and a very small yarding of run cattle. The fat sheep market held to the advance of Is 6d a head made last week. Butchers only were operating. Very good black-faced wethers made to 245, others from 15s to 23s 9d. Fat ewes brought 18s 6d for the best, with good weights making 13s lid to 17s 3d; and light ewes sold at 8s 6d to 11s. Quotations are: — Sheep: Fat lambs, best quality, 16s Id to 17s lOd, medium-weights, 13s lid to 15s, light from 11s 7d; fat maiden ewes 17s: fat wethers, best 20s 3d, very good 19s to 20s, medium sorts 155,1 d to 18s 7cl; good wether lambs 10s lOd to 11s 2d. fair 9s 6d to 10s. poor 7s; b.f. lambs, good 10s 9d to 11s Id, fair 7s 9d up; good ewe lambs 19s 6d, others 13s to 15s 9d; four-year ewes r.w. Southdown rams, in good condition 19s Id to 20s, others-from 12s 6d to 19s; four-tooth to six-year ewes r.w. Southdown rams 14s 6cl. five-year 14s, s.m. 8s lOd. Cattle: Boner cows, £2 10s to £3 7s; P.A. weaner heifers, £2 7s 6d, steers £2 Is ex dairy cows, prime, £4 18s to £5 15s; P.A. prime cows £5 7s 6d to £7 2s 6d; P.A. heifers £7 16s; vealers, 30s; springing cows, close to drop, £8 14s, others £4 15s to £6 7s; heifers r.w.b. £3 7s to £5. Pigs: Weaners 7s 6d to 12s 6d; slips 12s 6d to 14s 6d.

CARTERTON SALE. NO CHANGE IN PRICES. Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co. Ltd., report: —A small yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs came forward at Carterton sale yesterday. Prices were on a par with those ruling at late sale and practically a total clearance was effected. We quote as follows:— Sheep:—Fat lambs to 19s; tat wethers to 16s 2d to 16s 6d; forward b.f.’s, 12s 7d to 12s lOd; store b.f.’s to 10s 6d; (good), woollj' wether lambs, to 14s 3d; small shorn wethers lambs, 4s 7d to 6s Id; small b.f.’s lambs, to 6s 6d; medium woolly wether lambs, 9s Id. 9s 6d. to 10s 3d; fat ewes, to 12s; store ewes. 4s to 5s lOd; cull ewes, to 3s. Cattle: —Jersey cow, just calved, to £9; springing Jersey cows, £5 15s to £6 10s; fat cows, £3 to £3 9s; forward cows, £2 to £2 15s; store cows. 25s to 38s; cull cows, 10s to 20s; bulls, to £4 10s. Pigs:—Weaners (good), 9s to 12s; (medium), 7s to 8s 6d; (small), 5s 6d to 6s 6d; slips, 13s to 17s Cd; store pigs, 18s to 20s 6d; light porkers. 22s to 26s 6d; porkers, 30s to £2 9s.
