LABOUR RESOLUTION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WAIHI, June 16. At a meeting of the Waihi branch of the New Zealand Labour Party, the following resolution was adopted: — “The Waihi branch of the Labour Party strongly protests against the action of the B.M.A. in delaying the operation of the medical benefits of Social Security, and assures the Government of its wholehearted support in what action it deems advisable to put into effect the mandate given by the electors of New Zealand."

GOLD MINING RETURNS. The Nemona dredge reports a return of 69 ounces from 10,500 cubic yards worked in 132 hours. The following information has been cabled to the London office of the Martha Gold Mining Company (Waihi), Ltd:—For the period ended June 3, comprising 20 crushing days, 16,107 tons of ore were crushed for a result of 3839 fine ounces of gold and 24,308 fine ounces of silver. No. 3 level, K lode, situated at 18ft in south-east crosscut: We have driven to east on this 18ft, but the lode is small and value low.
