Announcing in the House of Commons further measures to limit the profits of armament firms, the Prime Minister (Mr Chamberlain) recalled his undertaking, at the time of the introduction of conscription, that the matter of arms profits would also be considered. In addition to the provision in the Ministry of Supply Bill to prevent excessive profits, it was proposed to include a special provision in the Finance Bill.
