QUESTION OF ALLEGED TERRORISTS JAPAN’S BID FOR CONTROL. LONG SERIES OF DEMANDS. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, June 15. It is becoming apparent from statements recently emanating from Japanese semi-official sources that the question of the four Chinese alleged by the Japanese to have been connected with the recent terrorist murders is a pretext for aggressive measures against the British Concession and is designed to give the Japanese economic financial control over foreign trade there. The developments seem to indicate that the question of the alleged assassination is only one of a long series of demands which the Japanese intend to impose on foreigners in North China, including economic co-opera-tion with the new regime. ' The new order which the Japanese wish to set up in China has so far proved injurious to British rights and interests. As such, it cannot be other than unwelcome to the foreigners whose rights to trade freely are guaranteed under the existing treaties to which Japan is a party.
