MINIATURE RIFLES
MASTERTON WIN PRAGNELL SHIELD. SOUTH FEATHERSTON DEFEATED. After a period of 23 years, the shield bearing the name of the late Mr O. N. C. Pragnell was won by the Masterton miniature rifle team, which defeated the South Featherston Club last evening by 5 points. The local team averaged a record score on the South Featherston range of 98.4, with Mrs King top scorer for Masterton. scoring the possible. Two South Featherston shooters, Messrs A. Gain and M. Hodder, also registered possibles. The following are the team scores:— Masterton A: Mrs King, 100; D. P. Donald, J. Duckett, B. R. Jenkins and P. Russell, 99; F. Seward, H. Cross, H. King, 98; H. K. Smith and J. Curtin, 97; total, 984. South Featherston A: A. Gain and M. Hodder, 100; J. Bain and R. Jepson, 99; L. Hodder and A. Ashworth, 98; R. Fenwick and R. Rasmussen, 97; P. Gain, 96; A. Yule, 95; total, 979. Masterton B: W. Dornan, 99; H. V. Donald, 98; L. Renall and I. Sutherland, 95; J. Bouzaid, 94; total, 481. South Featherston B: M. Fuge, 98; H. Fenwick, 97; Miss Burt, 96; R. Gunderson, 93; K. Hocquard, 91; total, 475.
