DEMAND ANTICIPATED
CONDITION OF KAITUNA ROAD. PETITION 5 -. TO COUNTY COUNCIL. A petition signed by certain residents of Kaituna in the Opaki Riding, desiring that the Upper Plain-Kaituna Road be put in order, so that they would be able to use their cars, as at the present moment, the road constituted a danger to all vehicles driven thereon, was read at yesterday’s meeting of the Masterton County Council. Councillor P. R. Welch stated that he had been in touch with some of the residents in the area concerned, and they were very much surprised to learn that the petition had gone forward. It appeared that the petition was signed four days before the grader went to work on the road. The ratepayers were now satisfied and requested that no action be taken. It was decided to leave the matter as it was.
