Miss Joan Datson. who has been on a visit, to Masterton. has returned to Wanganui. Mr and Mrs Eric Jones have returned to Masterton from a visit, to Napier.' Mr and Mrs W. H. Judd, of Pownall Street. Masterton, who have been on a visit to Napier, have returned home. Mrs P. H. Leahy, of Wellington, is a visitor to Masterton, and is staying at the Prince of Wales Hotel. Miss C. Wood, of Bannister Street. Masterton, who visited Mangatainoka for the school jubilee celebrations has returned home. Mrs J. N. Henson and her daughter Zelma, who have been staying with Mrs A. Henson, Lansdowne, have returned to Eketahuna. Miss Elizabeth Tyler Smith, of Mount St John Avenue, Auckland, is today celebrating her 99th birthday. The years have not dimmed her memory. Untroubled by sickness and still quite capable of dressing and putting herself to bed, of enjoying the garden, motor drives to such places as Titirangi and Henderson and occasional visits to the city, she is looking forward eagerly to her 100th birthday. She has resided for 84 years in New Zealand.
