IMPORT CONTROL
HEARING OF CROWN APPEAL PROVISIONAL FIXTURE MADE. AT SOLICITOR-GENERAL’S SUGGESTION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A provisional fixture for the hearing by the Court of Appeal of the appeal in the case the Collector <jf Customs versus Jackson and Company, Auckland, involving the validity of the Import Control Regulations, has been made for June 26, but there is a possibility that the case may be taken’ earlier to meet the convenienc of counsel engaged in other appeals. Fixtures for the new session were made this morning by the Court of Appeal. The Solicitor-General, making reference to the Import Regulations appeal case, said it had not been set down in the Court of Appeal yet, but it was anticipated that an application for leave to set it down would be made in the near future. He suggested that a provisional fixture be made.
