FAREWELL SOCIAL
MISS BRASH ENTERTAINED. (“Times-Age” Special.) On Saturday night. Miss Grace Brash was tendered a farewell in the Odd Fellows' Hall, Featherston, by a number of her young friends. Miss Brash, who for some time had been in the employ of Watson’s Drapery Store, has relinquished that position to take a position with McDuffi and Co., Masterton, where sKe will commence her new duties tomorrow. On behalf of her friends, Mr Arthur Reed presented Miss Brash with a silver alarm clock.' and in doing -so expressed their deep regret of losing such a popular young lady and wished her every success in her new career. Miss Brash in a few well chosen words expressed her deep appreciation of their kind action. Two Monte Carlo competitions were won by Miss Nola Reed and partner and Mr and Mrs Bob Skippage respectively. A happy gathering concluded with the singing of “For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow,” Mr Joe Buck officiating at the piano.
