FEATHERSTON COUNTY
WORK DONE DURING MAY. REPORTS OF OFFICIALS. (“Times-Age” Special.) Some difficulty has been experienced in determining the best location foi the Polly stream bridge reported the engineer of the Featherston County Council at its monthly meeting at Martinborough yesterday. Previously two sites were investigated and both were in some respects disappointing. A third site has since been surveyed and the investigation of it is now in hand. Up to the present the county has not established white line marking at curves stated the report. Should this work be carried out it would be necessary to establish it on proper lines as irregular work would be an eyesore. The engineer was instructed to go ahead with this work as soon as possible. All general repairs in the various ridings had been attended to reported the overseer. The grader had been at work on several roads in the county and drains requiring attention had been fixed.
