WAR FUNDS COUNCIL
APPOINTMENT OF COLONEL AVERY.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Colonel H. E. Avery, who succeeded the late Colonel G. Mitchell on the National War Funds Council, was welcomed at the council meeting on June 7 by the chairman of the executive, Sir Charles Luke. who said Colonel Avery’s knowledge of matters concerning returned soldiers would be of great value to the council.
