SALVAGE PROBLEM

Rear-Admiral Fraser, in a statement, said it was improbable work in salvaging the Thetis could be resumed for at least three weeks, because of the difficulties involved in the recovery of the vessel from deep water. STORY OF FIRE CONFIRMATION TO AWAIT INQUIRY. (Independent Cable Service.) (Received This Day, 9.50 a.m.) LONDON, June 9. The Admiralty has issued a statement reading: “Confirmation of a fire aboard the- Thetis must await the inquiry.”
