BUSINESS ON DOMINION EXCHANGES. DETAILS OF YESTERDAY’S SALES. The following sales were recorded on the Dominion Stock Exchanges yesterday:— Sale

GOLD MINING RETURNS. Big River Gold Mines, Limited, reports the following gold return for the months of April and May:—Battery department 250 tons of ore crushed for 179 ounces of melted gold. , Cyanide department 250 tons of sands treated for 31oz 6dwts of bullion. Total estimated value £l5OO. In addition 3.5 tons of concentrates was saved valued at £lO5. In estimating the above figures, gold has been taken at 150 s a fine ounce. The Blackwater Mines return for May is:—Crushed 4407 tons, yielding 1879 fine ounces gold all sources, including clean up at old mill, the value of which, taking gold at 148 s a fine oz was £13,901. Working expenses were £3848, leaving a working profit of £5053. Capital expenditure was £l2lB. and development £1231. The Okarito dredge reports a return of 30oz Bdwt tor 130 hours’ work.
