CORONATION BALL PLUNKET CARNIVAL EFFORT. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Coronation Ball to be held on Monday night in the Anzac Hall is the crowning event of the Plunket Carnival, whicn has been running for the past two months. The committees are working hard to make the ball a success. Golf. The heavy rain which set in yesterday afternoon made golfing conditions rather unpleasant. A medal round was played, the result being:—Mrs Benton, 1; Mrs Lovegrove, 2; Miss M. Ruane; 3. Power Board Purchase. It is stated that the Wairarapa Electric Power Board has decided to purchase the building in Fitzherbert Street owned by the Wairarapa Trading Company. Personal. Mrs - Quentin Donald Senr., Featherston, states that a personal paragraph published on Tuesday last, which said that she would leave shortly on a visit to Canada, was quite inaccurate.
