Sprinkle carbolic acid crystals on red hot coals on a, shovel to clear a room of mosquitoes. After cleaning patent leather shoes warm a piece of flannel and polish with drops of olive oil or spirits of turpentine. When preparing carrots and other vegetables, always cut. them lengthwise. This will make them much more tender. When taking a cat. to the veterinary surgeon, a good idea is to place the animal in a man’s coat sleeve..
