BASKETBALL
b B GRADE MATCHES. SATURDAY'S RESULTS. The following are the results of the B grade basketball matches, played on Saturday:— College Colts beat Stars B. 38 to 5. The Stars goal work was spoilt by long risky passes. The general team work was good. J. Stains and J. Jones were the best players. In the College team there was too much unnecessary passing in goal circle and fumbling spoilt their game. The centre work was very good. P. Oliver and H. Douglas were prominent. College C were beaten by Carterton by 17 to 10. Too much stumbling and fumbling on both sides spoilt a good clean game. Good play was shown for College by P. Cody, P. Oliver, B. O'Hara, and for Carterton by I. Zillwood. College D were beaten by Greytown by 18 to 8. This was a good clean game. College played well but Greytown were in too good form for them. lona beat Hospital 40 to 13.
