CLAY BIRD AGGREGATE. THIRD ROUND RESULTS. The Masterton Gun Club continued the third round of the clay bird aggregate on Saturday when there was a fair attendance of shooters. Conditions were ideal and some good shooting was witnessed. R. J. King and F. Taplin, veterans of trap shooting, tied for first place, King winning in the shoot-off. The third position resulted in a tie between J. Laurenson, A. MacAlistcr and J. Udy. The following are some of the leading scores: F. Taplin (17), 20; R. J. King (15), 20; J. Laurenson (14), 19; A. Macalister (14). 19; J. Udy (14), 19; H. K. Smith (18), 18; G. Bretherton (16), 18: J. W. McKenzie (15), 18; J. W. Curtin ’(11), 18. YANKEE SHOOT. H. K. Smith, who did not strike form in the first shoot, made no mistake with this one, breaking all his birds and winning outright. R. J. King, F. Taplin and G. Bretherton tied for second and third place and divided. GIMCRACK SHOOT. • H. K. Smith and G. Bretherton tied with 7 each, and A. Macalister occupied third position with six. Five other shooters took part. Next week-end the club will hold a big clay shoot, to which competitors from all over the province are expected. A very handsome trophy has been presented by Mr. H. K.
