TELEVISED GOLF

SUCCESSFUL DEMONSTRATION * IN BRITAIN. i (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, June 1. A further interesting development in televising outdoor events was successfully demonstrated today, when viewers saw part of the golf challenge match between Bobby Locke (South Africa) and R. A. Whitcombe. Cameras recorded the drives made from two tees and approaches, the putting at one hole and the play, through another. Three cameras were used, two being mobile so that the players could be closely followed.
