Hundreds of, Fascist agitators, marching in from 'country towns, stormed Wenceslas Square, shouting, “Down with the Government!” “Down with the Jews!” House-holders bolted and barred their doors. Hundreds of persons were imprisoned in the cinemas. The police are unable to check the demonstrations, which have continued throughout the night. PRETENCE ABANDONED GERMAN TREATMENT OF CZECHS >EVEN CHILDREN ARRESTED. (Received This Day, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON. June 2. The Prague correspondent of "The Times” says the Germans have ceased to make any effort to secure Czech goodwill and have sent a bill to Czech towns, for the much publicised distribution of food to the pool’ at the time of the seizure of Bohemia and Moravia. The Gestapo arrested several children because they laughed at a cinema version of the signing of the Italo-German Pact. Others were made to run a gauntlet of German, children.
