CHURCH SERVICES

Holy Communion will be celebrated at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Church tomorrow. The vicar will be the preacher both in the morning and evening. The evening service will be a King’s Birthday service. The Rev. T. V. Pearson will conduct the evening service at Kuripuni, and the vicar will preach at Taueru in the afternoon. A study of His Majesty the King and the Empire in keeping with the celebration of the King’s Birthday, will be the topic at the morning service in the Methodist Church tomorrow, to be followed in the evening by the subject, "Thy Lashings Are Loosed” —a study in our national life. After the evening service the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be administered. The preacher for the day is the Rev. Frederick J. Parker, and a cordial invitation is given to all interested in these National Day services. At the Kuripuni Methodist Church tomorrow the morning service will be conducted by Mr E. Steer, and at 6.50 p.m. cars will leave for the town church service. The Methodist services at Wangaehu tomorrow, at 2.30 p.m.. will be conducted by the Rev. Fred. J. Parker.
