RECORD TONNAGE IN YARD AT CLYDEBANK.

(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. May 31. Three war vessels, aggregating 104.000 tons, now occupy John Brown and Co.’s fitting-out basin at Clydebank. This is the greatest aggregation of war tonnage in the experience of any shipbuilding yard. Today’s addition was the new 8000ton cruiser Fiji—the first of its class to be launched —which joined the 85,000ton Queen Elizabeth in the fitting-out basin. MEW. SHIPS. The cruiser Fiji, the first of the new 8,000-ton cruiser class to be armed with six-inch guns, was launched yesterday at Clydebank. The Kimberley, a destroyer of 1690 ton. was launched at Southampton today. .
