COURSING
WAIRARAPA CLUB’S MEETING. DRAW FOR TOMORROW’S EVENTS, The following is the draw for the Wairarapa Coursing Club’s opening meeting of the season to be held to-, morrow and the officials in charge:— Open stake: Mr D. Wilson’s Big Ben meets Mr J. Hare’s (N.S.) Great Worry; Mr Crawford’s Jeanne meets Mrs L. H. Jones’s The Slam: Mr F. Butcher’s Full o’ Gay meets Mr D. Wilson’s White Gold; Mrs B. Mosen’s British Pride meets James and Taylor’s The Clipper. Puppy stake: Mr J. Hare’s The Trump meets Mr R. Southey’s Attaere; Mr J. Peters’s Player meets Mr W. Spring's Julius Ceasar. All dogs beaten in the first round of each stake, will go into the Consolation stakes.
The following are the officials: — Judge, Mr S. D. Geary; slipper, Mr R. McEwan; slip steward, Mr F. Williams; hare steward, Mr L. M-. Archer; stimulant steward, Messrs ,F. E. Allen and D. Grimwood; call steward, Mr D. Grimwood; gatekeeper, Mr R. Andrews. The. first course will commence promptly at 1.45 p.m. Refreshments will be obtainable on the ground.
