A formal repy to the protest made by Britain against the Japanese boarding of the x liner Ranpura on May .23 is. still awaited. Meanwhile the British naval attache at Tokio has received a communication from the Ministry of Marine to the effect that the Ranpura was stopped as there were doubts regarding her identity.
