TASMAN AIRCRAFT
AOTEAROA’S MAIDEN FLIGHT. LEAVING ENGLAND AT END OF JUNE. (Independent Cable Service.) x LONDON, May 31. The' Tasman flying-boat Aotearoa will take off on its maiden passenger flight from Southampton this afternoon, taking 15 Press and other representatives from Australia and New Zealand on a tour of the South Coast. It will be piloted by the New Zealander, Captain John Burgess. Imperial Airways state that the Aotearoa will go to New Zealand at the end of June.
Captain Burgess, Wellington, was formerly in command of the Centaurus on its visit to New Zealand last year.
