JOCKEY DISQUALIFIED
FORMER NEW ZEALAND RIDER. ACTION BY BALLARAT STEWARDS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 10.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE, May 31. The former New Zealand Jockey, A. Driscoll was disqualified by the Ballarat Racing Club stewards for twelve months. Dishonourable and improper practices were alleged against Driscoll in connection with the running of Elegance in a steeplechase event. Elegance was ridden by Driscoll and finished second’ to Testudo. Driscoll entered a protest against Testudo, which was dismissed, and K. Bones, the owner-trainer of Elegance, was exonerated.
