Driscoll was disqualified by the Ballarat Racing Club stewards for twelve months. Dishonourable and improper practices were alleged against Driscoll in connection with the running of Elegance in a steeplechase event. Elegance was ridden by Driscoll and finished second’ to Testudo. Driscoll entered a protest against Testudo, which was dismissed, and K. Bones, the owner-trainer of Elegance, was exonerated.
