CRASHES IN VICTORIA

THEIR MAJESTIES STARTLED. FLASH BULBS EXPLODE PREMATURELY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.' VICTORIA, 8.C., May 30. The special correspondent for the Australian Associated Press says that their Majesties at the Government banquet had hardly recovered from the shock of a waiter dropping a tray of crab-meat cocktails with a resounding crash when a triple set of photographer’s flash bulbs exploded prematurely. Guests for 20 feet round were showered with glass. Their Majesties, 50 feet away, were startled by the explosion and the flash of white light, but they were not in danger. Food sprinkled with splinters was hastily removed. Photographers throughout the tour have been strictly limited in the distance to which they may approach their Majesties because of the possibility of an accident with flash bulbs.
