Many years of practical research in tropical medicine, notably in Egypt, Nigeria and on the Gold Coast, have been spent by Dr Alfred Clark, who arrived by the Rimutaka from London to spend several months in the Dominion. Most of his investigations have been concerned witn poisonous foodstuffs and their effects upon humans and animals. Dr Clark’s work has included experiments relating to facial eczema,and at the suggestion of officials at New Zealand House, London, he may consult with officials of the Department of Agriculture during his stay in the Dominion. > ;
