ADDINGTON LOWER VALUES FOR SHEEP. CHRISTCHURCH, May 31. In the fat and store sheep sections at the weekly stock market held in Addington today the tendency was toward slightly easier values. A wellwoolled line of three-quarter-bred two and three-shear ewes sold at 19s 3d, and a small line of mixed age Romney-cross 10s 6d, many of the other pens made 7s to Bs. Fairly forward lambs made to 12s. Only a few pens of fat lambs made up to butchers standards, and these had a fairly good sale, the rates being firm. The remainder of the entry went weakly at export parity, vzith the roughest sorts at from as low at 7s. On an average good wethers were better than a week ago by Is 6d to 2s, and good ewes by Is to Is 6d; lighter sheep were about Is dearer than last week. Extra prime heavy wethers made to 27s 7d; prime heavy, 23s 6d to 265; prime medium, 21s 6d to 235; light, .to 16s 6d; extra prime heavy ewes, to 23s lOd; prime heavy, 18s 6d to 20s 6d; prime medium, 14s to 18s;' light, to 9s 6d. The sale was somewhat disappointing, the improvement of 10s to 15s a head recorded last week for better sorts being largely lost. One lot of plain but fairly heavy beef sold at about 30s a 1001 b. Only exceptional pens reached 335. Baconers were in heavier supply and only the best quality maintained the values of a week ago, plain and unfinished sorts being 3s to 4s easier. Porkers made 33s 6d to 53s 6d, an average price a lb of 6;'d to 6-Jd; and baconers made £2 15s 6d to £4 9s 6d, an average price a lb of G.Jd to GJd.
