WAIRARAPA v. HAWKE’S BAY. NORTHERN TEAM SELECTED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NAPIER, May 30. Four players new to Hawke’s Bay representative Rugby figure in the team which has been chosen to meet Wairarapa on McLean Park, Napier, on the King’s Birthday holiday next Monday, three being forwards. Taite (Te Aute) is the new winger and the forwards are Butler (Dannevirke Old Boys), McDonald (Porangahau) and Lockwood (Hastings). The average weight of the pack is 14.6. The team is as follows: —Full-back, Dyer (Hastings); three-quarters, Tjite (Te Aute), Devine (Hastings High School Old Boys), Fox (Celtic); five-eighfhs, Reid (Celtic), Thomas (Technical); halfback, Garnett (Hastings High School Old Boys); back row, Lincoln (Hastings); middle row, Butler (Dannevirke Old Boys), McDonald (Porangahau), Reid (M.A.C.), McKenzie (Pirates); front row, Lockwood (Hastings), Dalton (Technical), captain; Jackson •(M.A.C.).

The Wairarapa team will be announced by the sole selector, Mr Keith Reid, in tomorrow's issue of the “Times-Age.” JUNIOR GAME. WAIRARAPA TEAM SELECTED. The Wairarapa junior representative team to play Hawke’s Bay juniors on the Memorial Park, Masterton. on Monday next (King’s Birthday) has been chosen by the sole selector, Mr Gordon Udy, as follow: — Full back: J. Broom (Red Star). Three-quarters: J. Costello (Opaki), G. McCullough (Red Star), W. Adams (Carterton). Five-eighths: S. Morris (Greytown), J. Steffert (Carterton). Half-back: S. Cardno (Old Boys). Forwards: Back row, E. Grantham (Red Star); middle row, L. Wilton (Martinborough), J. Alexander (Old Boys). C. Wheeler (Featherston).' P. McPhee (Carterton); front row, J. Corlett (Carterton), F. Busch (Martinborough), J. Blake (Carterton). Reserves: Forwards, A. Blake (Carterton), Goodin (Grey town); backs, IVI. Hancox (Martinborough), D. Hamilton (Martinborough).
