Conditions were ideal for golf on Saturday, when the ladies and men played the second round for the Miss McDougall trophy and the Campbell Cup respectively. McDougall and his daughters and his nephew, Mr Colin Didsbury, who have been on a motor tour of the northern districts, returned home on Friday evening. Mr and Mrs Malcolm McLeod are visiting Auckland. Mr and Mrs J. T. Jamieson, of Sydney, were the guests of Mr and Mrs Trevor Hume for a few days. Mrs Mcllwraith and her children, who have been on a visit to her mother, Mrs M. A. Sutherland, have returned to their home in. the South Island.
