PLUNKET SOCIETY

MAURICEVILLE BRANCH. ANNUAL MEETING. • (“Times-Age" Special.) At the annual meeting of the Mauriceville district sub-branch of the Plunket Society held in the Mauriceville East Hall, there was a fair attendance. Mr R. Miller was unanimously reelected president. Mrs R. Dagg was elected secretary to fill the place of Mrs A. Donald, who has left the district. Mrs Miller spoke on Plunket affairs and the national appeal to provide a suitable memorial to the late Sir Truby King. It was decided that members be canvassed for donations to this fund. During afternoon tea opportunity was taken to bid farewell to Mrs Donald. On behalf of the members, Mrs Miller wished Mrs Donald the best of luck, and asked her to accept a small gift as a token of esteem. Mrs Donald suitably replied.
