STUD STOCK. SHEEP FOR OVERSEAS. (“Times-Age" Special.) Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co., Ltd., railed from the Carterton Station yesterday afternoon stud Romneys on behalf of Messrs L. and J. Gray. The sheep are going to South Africa. Stud Romney ewes which are to be sent to Australia were also consigned on behalf of Mr A. E. Anderson, of Clarevillc. WAIRARAPA SOUTH COUNTY. INCREASE IN HOSPITAL RATE. An increase of 1 -20th of a penny in the pound in the hospital rate during the current year was agreed to at the monthly meeting of the Wairarapa South County Council at Carterton yesterday. Last year the .hospital rate was Id in the pound. Licences Granted. Messrs Thos Borthwick and Sons (A'asia) Ltd; Masterton, were granted a meat export licence and Messrs W. Vaughan, Carterton and Deller’s Meat Mart, Carterton, were granted slaughter house licences by the Wairarapa County Council at its monthly meeting hold at Carterton yesterday. Personal Items. Mrs A. King, who has been on holiday to Auckland and other northern towns during the past six weeks, returned to Carterton yesterday. Mr Herbert Moore, who has been visiting Carterton, returned to his home at Foxton yesterday. Church Service. A Church of England service will be held at Waihakeke on Sunday at 2 p.m. when the Rev. W.
