PUPS ON PARADE

DISPLAY IN QUEEN STREET WINDOW. Nine bonny black puppies, tottering around in a window amongst a litter of straw and bags containing dog meal attracted the attention of passersby in Queen Street today. No doubt it was a decided novelty as far as the pups were concerned to be displayed to the public view in such unusual surroundings, nor was it no less entertaining to those who watched their antics. In consequence, large numbers of people paused during the day at the W.F.C.A. window and enjoyed several minutes’ free entertainment at the expense of the pups. The display was arranged in connection with a campaign advertising dog meal manufactured in Masterton by the W.F.C.A. The puppies comprised the second litter of a well-known Labrador bitch owned by Constable R. Hollis, of Masterton.
