NINE WORKERS DROWNED IN PAPUA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. CANBERRA, May 23. A message from Salamaua states that floods in Papua have caused severe damage in the Bulolo River area. Nine employees of New Guinea Goldfields, Limited, have been drowned. The mining plant is severely damaged and gold production has been brought to a standstill.
