PRIME MINISTER’S ASSURANCE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LISBON, May 23. The Prime Minister, Dr Salazar, in a speech in the National Assembly today, stressed Portugal’s firm adherence to the Anglo-Portuguese alliance. He added: “I know I am speaking in the name of my country when I say we are determined to fulfil faithfully our obligations under the alliance.”
