BOOTS AND SHOES
HOW TO RENDER THEM WATERPROOF. To render boots and shoes waterproof use the following composition: On epart mutton suet to two parts beeswax melted together. Clean shoes thoroughly and apply at night, then wipe off the following morning with a piece of flannel. Although the shoes will not take on a good polish for a few days, it will be found that after several applications they will polish brilliantly. This composition is specially good for children’s shoes in winter.
