. -y PROFESSIONAL CONTESTS. GORDON BEATS McKAY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 22. Two professional matches were features of a programme under the control of' the Auckland Boxing Association. The first was a lightweight contest between Clarrie Gordon, Taranaki, and Bert McKay, Auckland, and was won by Gordon. McKay’s left eyebrow was badly cut in the sixth round, and, after medical inspection, he was declared unlit to continue. The decision, therefore, went to his opponent. . In'the second bout between the welterweights, Don Johnson. Auckland, and Merv Willis, Queensland, the former won on points.
