AKITIO RETICULATION. MAY BE HELD UP INDEFINITELY. (“Times-Age” Special.) An indication that, the progress of the reticulation of Akitio County may be held up indefinitely /followed on a letter from the State Advances Corporation which was received at a recent meeting of the Tararua Electric Power Board. The letter informed the board that no further advances were available on the Akitio reticulation loan of £40,000, nor would be for some time. The secretary-manager remarked that there were sufficient funds in hand to carry on the work for another month, after which it would be held up unless other arrangements could be made. The chairman and secretary-manag-er were authorised by the board to take steps as circumstances demanded.
