TRAP SHOOTING CONTESTS. BROUGH CUP WON BY PRUSSING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The final competition for the Brough Cup was fired at Martinborough at the weekend. The weather was not good and the light very bad. There were not many shooters present. Mr Prussing, whose aggregate over three shoots was 21, 18, 18, 57, won the cup by one -point from Mi - R. P. Williams (Carterton), 20, 19, 17. 56. Mr Prussing holds the cup for one year or until beaten and will receive a miniature as well. In the 21-bird match Messrs C. McLeod, K. McLeod and Prussing tied with a possible each. In the shoot off Prussing dropped a shot and the two remaining shootists divided the sweepstake. C. McLeod was in excellent form and had 42 kills to his credit when he ceased firing, a very' creditable performance. HOCKEY TEAMS. FOR SATURDAY’S COMPETITIONS. Carterton and district hockey enthusiasts next Saturday will be treated to an excellent exhibition of the game when the Carterton and Dalefield seniors will meet on Carrington Park. Dalefield will be represented by the following:—G. Tildersley, M. Knutson (captain), E. Fleet, C. Knutson, L. Bicknell, ,T. Hooper, L. Gallon, G. Townsend, A. Ordish, R. Ordish, K. Bain. The Dalefield juniors will play College Ofd Boys at (farrington Park, Carterton. The following will represent Dalefield: —R. Knowles, W. Smith, R. Harris, K. Parker, K. Jamieson, L. Sayer, R. Sayer,' K. Ordish, N. Nielsen, G. Bain, K. Abbott, B. Gallon. r . DRUIDS’ LODGE. QUARTERLY MEETING. The quarterly summoned meeting of Totara Lodge of Druids was held last evening add was presided over by A.D. Sister R. Brazendale. . The secretary reported having with other secretaries visited the Social Security Department at Masterton and members are advised to apply to the secretary for the necessary declaration forms for sick pay. He also advised that ’a second declaration for maternity bonus under the Social Security Act i’c narpqqnrV . .>% • > I Sick pay to the extent of £2O 10s was passed for payment. Gayfer; A.D.B.'s, Bros B. Nielsen and C. W. Smith; V.A.B.’s, Bros W. D. Allen and M. T. Groube; musician, Bro C. Kitchen; Master of Ceremonies, Bro H. •Matson. The officers will be installed on Tuesday. June 6, when all the lodges of No 1 District will be invited to attend. Hearty votes of thanks were accorded to the ladies’ Ball Committee for services rendered for the function held recently. It is expected a substantial credit balance will be shown.

Renal 1, 111, 33, 78. Personal. Mrs H. B. Keenan and family,/Park Road, are spending a holiday in Wellington. The death took place at his residence, Belvedere Road, Carterton, yesterday, of Mr Eli Thomas Bond, second son of the late John and Sarah Ann Bond, in his 78th year. He was born in Devonshire, England, and had been in New Zealand for about 68 years. At one time he was employed in the sawmilling industry, but later took up sheepfarming. He was a prominent member of the Carterton Band some time back. His wife predeceased him several years ago.
