A second frontier incident is report-, ed to have occured at Pieckel, the most southern point of Danzig territory. Customs officials there telephoned advising that they were barricaded in the Customshouse, which uniformed Storm Troopers were attacking, shouting anti-Polish slogans and demanding the blood of the Polish Customs officers. Following these incidents, the Polish Government sent a Note to the Danzig Senate demanding a stringent inquiry into the Kalthof affair, reparations for the damage done, and assurances for the safety of the Polish citizens .in the Free City of Danzig. The Danzig Senate replied by sending a Note demanding compensation for Herr Gruebner’s relatives, an apology from the Polish Government, and the surrender of M Murawski. SIEGE CALLED OFF CUSTOMS OFFICIALS RESCUED. PARTING THREAT BY NAZIS. WARSAW, May 22. As a result of a strong protest by the Polish Commissioner in Danzig, M Chodacki, the Senate ordered the police to rescue the Polish officials besieged in the Customshouse at Peickel. The Nazis then dispersed, shouting, “We shall return.” It is understood, that M Chodacki told the Senate that, unless the police guaranteed the safety of Polish officials. Poland would take her own measures, add another indicent POLISH AMBASSADOR SUDDEN CALL TO WARSAW. (Received This. Day, 9.25 a.m.) LONDON, May 22. The Polish Ambassador to London has suddenly flown to Warsaw for an important consultation regarding European developments. “EXPLOSIVE SUBJECT” DANZIG NOT ON LEAGUE , AGENDA. GENEVA, May 22. The question of Danzig is not included on the agenda of the League Council and probably will not be discussed on the ground that the time is inopportune and that it would be dealing with an explosive subject.
