AMALGAMATION PROPOSAL
O SHEEPOWNERS' FEDERATION AND FARMERS UNION. After a brief discussion, the Wairarapa Provincial Executive of the Farmers’ Union, at its meeting yesterday, set up a committee to discuss with the Wairarapa Sheepowners’ Federation the question of the amalgamation of the two bodies. Several members spoke in favour of the proposal and the following were appointed a committee to represent the union: Messrs Hugh Morrison. D. McGregor, J. M. James and L. T. Daniell.
