Davis Cup second round results in the European zone are: — In Warsaw Tloczynski (Poland) beat Henkel (Germany), 6-4, 6-8, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. The captain of the German team declared‘that Henkel was too tired to play in, the doubles and sought a. postponement. The Polish captain demanded a walkover owing to the German default. The committee deferred its decision. The spectators were dissatisfied and yelled: “We want Germans on the court, not Austrians,” referring to Metaxa ahd Menzel. The Lawn Tennis Association at Warsaw agreed to postpone the doubles match against Germany after a ruling from the Davis Cup committee which upheld the Polish claim for a walkover,' but appealed to them to renounce their right in the interests of sport. In Stockholm .Rohlson and Schroeder (Sweden) beat .Whim and Ploughmann (Denmark), 6-1, 8-6, 6-0. In Brussels, Lacroix (Belgium) beat Ghaus Mohammed (India), 6-1, 6-3, 5-7, 6-0; Naeyaert (Belgium) beat Savoor (India), 6-0, 10-8, 1-6, 6-3. FURTHER RESULTS. SWEDEN DEFEATS DENMARK. (Received This Day, 10.15 a.m.) LONDON, May 21. At Brussels Chaus Mohammed and Savoor (India) defeated Geelhand and Van Dernende (Belgium), 6/4, 6/4, 5/7, 6/4. At Warsaw Henkel and Metaxa (Germany), defeated Hebda and Baworowski (Poland), 5/7, 6/4, 6/2, 6/2. At. Stockholm Schroeder (Sweden) defeated Ploughman, 6/1, 6/1, 6/1. Sweden thus eliminated Denmark.
